— Repo Custody · Storage · Reconditioning —

When a repo has nowhere to go, we give it a home.

RV Best runs a secured lot and reconditioning bays in Balzac for repossessed motorhomes, trailers and fifth wheels. We take custody, protect the collateral, service the units, and hand them back to the lender when they're ready to be claimed.

What we do

Custody, care, and clean handover.

A repo that sits outside gets vandalized, degraded, and depreciated. A repo that sits with us gets protected, serviced, and returned to the lender ready to move.

Housing & Custody

Gated, fenced, camera-monitored yard in Balzac. Every unit is logged in on arrival with photo condition report, VIN scan, and title chain document. Insured on our floor while it's here.

  • Secured 3.4-acre lot
  • 24/7 camera coverage
  • Condition report on intake
  • Yard insurance on file

Reconditioning & Service

Most repos come in used, neglected, or abused. Our shop brings them back to functional — chassis service, house systems, slides, appliances, roof seals, deep interior clean. Billed on approved estimate, not surprise.

  • 60-point intake inspection
  • Chassis & house systems
  • Slide-outs, roof, seals
  • Deep clean & deodorize

Handover to the Legal Owner

When the lender is ready to claim — auction, remarket, or private sale — we hand the unit over. All documentation, service records, keys, and title chain in one file. Delivered to your yard or picked up from ours.

  • Full document package
  • Service history included
  • Optional delivery Alberta-wide
  • Same-day release on notice
How the process works

From bank notice to final handover.

One number, one contact, one file per unit. Here's the standard sequence.

1

Intake & Custody Transfer Day 0

Lender or recovery agent notifies us of an incoming unit. We schedule pickup or receive drop-off, log the VIN, photograph the exterior and interior, produce a written condition report, and email it to the file owner within 24 hours.

2

Assessment & Estimate Day 1–3

Our shop runs a 60-point functional inspection — engine, generator, propane, plumbing, electrical, roof, slides, appliances, chassis. We send you a fixed-price reconditioning estimate covering only what you approve.

3

Storage & Reconditioning Ongoing

Unit is parked in a numbered stall. If work is approved, it moves to the shop; otherwise it sits protected in the yard. Monthly custody invoice covers storage, insurance floor, and periodic condition re-checks.

4

Maturity Notice from Lender On request

When the lender confirms the unit is ready to be claimed — redemption expired, remarketing greenlit, buyer identified — you send us a written release notice with the intended recipient and delivery address.

5

Handover to Legal Owner Same day

We prep the unit, gather the file (condition reports, service history, keys, title docs), and either release to the picking party at our yard or deliver to the destination. Final invoice closes the file. Chain of custody is intact and documented, end to end.

Common questions

What lenders ask us before sending the first unit

Do you sell repossessed units?

No. We are custodial storage and reconditioning — the units on our lot belong to the lender or their assignee. We do not list them for sale, we do not solicit buyers, and we do not represent them in remarketing. Our job ends when we hand the unit back to whoever the lender directs us to release it to.

What does storage cost?

Monthly per-unit custody rates depend on size (Class A, Class C, trailer, fifth wheel) and whether the unit needs power hookup for a block heater. Volume discounts for lenders sending 5+ units. Rate sheet available on request — call us or email info@rvbest.ca.

Do you do reconditioning work automatically?

Never. We inspect and send a fixed-price estimate. No work happens without written approval from the lender. If you decline the work, the unit sits in the yard as-is at the standard custody rate until you release it.

How fast can you take a unit?

Same day for scheduled drop-offs, 24–48 hours for pickups within Calgary and area. Longer for units elsewhere in Alberta — we sub-contract long-haul transport when needed.

What happens if the borrower shows up wanting the unit back?

Nothing without your written authorization. We only release a unit to a party you name in writing. If a former borrower comes to the yard, we take their information and forward it to you — we don't hand them keys, and we don't discuss the file with them.

Are units insured while they're with you?

Yes. We carry a $5M yard policy that covers vandalism, fire, and weather while units are in our custody. This is in addition to any coverage the lender maintains on the unit. Certificate of insurance available for your file.

Can we tour the yard before sending a unit?

Absolutely. We prefer it. Book a walk-through at 195 Balzac Blvd — you'll see the yard, the shop, the intake process, and the paperwork we produce.

A protected lot for units that don't have anywhere else to go.

If you hold RV finance paper and need somewhere to put the collateral while it's between borrower and buyer, we're built for exactly that. Call us or send a note — we'll get you a rate sheet, an intake form, and a yard tour.

RV Best is not a lender, remarketer, or dealer. We provide custody and reconditioning services to lienholders on a contract basis.
